Deep, bright ruby red with slight orange hues; expansive, clear-cut nose, with hints of violet, vanilla, cinnamon, sweet tobacco and licorice; very structured, soft mouth-filling taste with an appealing, long, spicy finish. Its structure gives this wine an exceptionally long cellar life, during which its tasting properties continue to develop.

One of the most impressive and elegant Brunello that we’ve come across, the Casanuova della Cerbaie Brunello di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese – locally called Brunello – that is sourced largely from the famed Montosoli cru just north of the town of Montaclino. With vineyards between 300 and 350 meters above sea level, the moderate climate favors elegant, aromatic styles of Sangiovese with plenty of depth and structure for aging – all qualities that are easily found in the Casanuova della Cerbaie.
Exotic spice aromas; firm, full-bodied palate of dried black cherry, raspberry and licorice flavors, fine tannins

Where to start – this classic Bordeaux is amazing! First of all, it is the most epic vintage in 50 years and is aged 16 months in French oak barrels. The color is an intense ruby and the aromas (aka “the noe”) are of ripe fruit. Before you take your first sip, let the wine breath and open up, so you can fully experience the elegance and depth of this powerful wine. A favorite among our tasting team…Salute!
