Type Red Vintage 2017 Producer Bechtel Frey Appellation Rheinhessen Country Germany Drink by 2022 Pour at 55° Fruity 3
Another amazing blend from our winemaker family in Rheinhessen Germany. This incredible blend of Schwarzriesling and Pinot Noir will be something to never forget. Schwarzriesling or also known as ” Black Riesling” is a fruity red grape that is best served chilled like you would a white. Its sweetness and acidity levels are so similar to Riesling and no wonder we love it so much! When blended with Pinot Noir, this blend shows intense deep color with flavors of frambois, blackberry and hints of bright fresh picked cherry.

Coming straight from our winery in Rhienhessen, Germany , our winemakers have done it again. Christopher and Philip spend long hours combining grapes after fermentation to create the newest and most refreshing of their unoaked blends. In this case, they have taken the Huxelrebe grape as well as the Wüzer grape (a crossing of Gewürtztraminer and Müller-Thurgau). Huxelrebe in this case, giving the wine its backbone and round acidity while the Wuzer gives it the crisp after taste of fresh apples, stone fruit and hints of grapefruit. A nice wine to pair with lighter flavors such as grilled seafood.

This wonderful Chardonnay Spätlese comes in our well-loved bright green bottle. The wine isn’t green, but it is a fruity Chardonnay with a flavor reminiscent of candied apples. Don’t compare it to your typical, very oaky California Chardonnay. This wine is aged in stainless steel and made from late-harvest grapes in Germany. When to pop this bottle open? Anytime!
