An impressive Pinot with a crystal ruby color, deep yet refined cherry and plum flavors and a delicate pepper finish

Austrian wine maker, Michael Opitz is part of the new generation of wine growers, no longer producing mainstream but rather distinctive, confident wines. His philosophy is that great wine is made in the vineyard not in the winery. This means that only the best quality grapes are used for each and every bottle produced at his facility. This fragrant and delectable Pinot Noir is no exception. With aromas of cherry and soft plum, it finishes with light pepper and clove.

Douro is now also renowned for its fine, rich unfortified wines, both red and white. This is one of the wildest, most mountainous and rugged wine regions of Portugal, cut through in deep twists and turns by the River Douro. Our newest “Unreported” wine is a blend or Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz grapes that have been aged in oak barrel for 16 months. Intense ruby color with black fruit, jam, and spice on the nose. Finishes velvety, complex and luscious.
